Boys don't cook

All right. As the stereotypes have it, us guys can't cook for beans*. But I've found reality isn't always that clear-cut. Indeed, there are males out there who continually fail to accidentally burn water.

So, in order to bolster our team's points in the neverending struggle between genders, gentlemen, your tastiest recipies... let's have 'em.

*pun intended, even if it was horrific

Recipie what is that?

Serously I just sorta take something from the fridge some other stuff from the refridgurator(sp?) add potato or pasta and eat whatever comes out of that.

not really a recipe but

Fillet Mignon very well tenderized with a fork

marinate in teryaki sauce and pickled ginger root for 6-8 hours

grill to desired doneness

slice into thin strips

place sliced steak on bed of ramen noodles (not that top ramen shit! use the good noodles) and grilled or steamed veggies (summer squash, zuchinni etc)

spinkle lightly with sesame seeds

YUM!

Heh, I read that slightly wrong, and was going, "hey, eating your girlfriend that way is just WRONG". :D

Anyway, what I'm making right now is a typical hybrid pasta sauce thingy. Cream, red pepper, garlic, onion, and a lotta mushrooms. Add a bit of Sambal Oelek, and it's pure, quickly cooked heaven.

Depends on what style you want...though it'll probably take a little digging, given I memorized them more to physical objects then any real name.

For meats though it's pretty standard marinade(though a bit a alcohol or juice depending on the cut)

Pasta...depends upon person. I prefer a Basil and Garlic with a slight bit of Oregano...some I know prefer I chunk the tomatos...while other still like an even more robust/chunkier sauce.

That sounds tasty. i'm a big fan of pasta too....especially in a blush sauce. just whip up a simple chunky pomodori sauce and blend it into your alfredo. you get the creamy taste of alfredo, but with less fat because it's only half of the sauce and the zing of tomato. toss in some mushrooms and grilled chicken. wooo-hooo!

Fridge and refridgerator mean the same thing. I imagine you mean freezer instead of one of those.

False friend, I guess. "Fridge" sounds like our "Frys".

How about i keep it simple....

Cook about 1/2 lbs. Hamburger ( season how you like ) i usually cook with onions and pepper

Add one can of chilli ( i usually use hot beanless chilli )

Wrap in tortilla with sour cream, cheese, salsa ...

voila ... burrito in 10 mins.

Depends on the occasion, i like to cook sometimes, but mainly its stuff straight from the freezer as who has time for anything else these days?

But in line with the steak theme :

A proper Sirloin steak, marinaded in a brandy/ginger mix overnight (one half teaspoon of ginger to one cup of brandy).

Prepare a light mustard sauce with some coriander and sage (go light on the sage) and place in fridge.

Place your Steak in an enclosed roasting tin and place in the oven at gas mark 6 and cook to personal preference. Also place in Roast potatoes and Bacon strips, along with sliced mushrooms at appropriate times so all are ready at same time (this takes practice)

Boil some long grain rice and then stir in the mustard sauce prepared last night. Once mostly mixed in I tend to add either a pinch of Curry powder or Cayenne pepper as i like the sharp edge it gives the rice.

Serve steak onto bed of rice, with potatoes around the bed and bacon around the steak, either place mushrooms on top of the steak or mixed into the rice as preferenced.

I like food to have lots of taste BTW.

Here goes:
Spike's Pasta Carbonara(sp)

1 -Boil spaghetti, (any thickness etc.)
2 -Prepare pan with 1/4 cup of oil with chopped garlic cloves on medium heat.
3 -When pasta is done, strain and place it in the pan with the garlic and oil
4 -Scramble an egg and cut (not cooked) bacon into 1x1" pieces (however many you want.)
5 -Pour beaten egg and place bacon in pan with pasta.
6 -Mix till egg is somewhat "cooked" and bacon is done (keeping it at medium heat, and Make sure egg is dispersed thru all the pasta.)
7 -Serve and enjoy :O

Try it out guys, Its bomb :P

There's nothing to say boys can't be 'so cute' and girls and cats be even cuter than that. I'm certainly ok with being that cute.

Hmmm, I believe that's the first time my breasts have instigated enough fright for an air-raid drill.

...The first time they've instigated fright period, I think. Usually they get a warmer reception than that.

*shrugs and walks off*
