if you ever want a challenge, think of the most controversial outfit you can think of, and wear it to your school/workplace. just did that, with black boots, pants, shirt (I hear voices and they dont like you), black belt and silver buckle, silver chain necklace, silver chain necklace with death figurine, silver chain necklace with cross, silver flamedance ring, silver skull ring, silver death figure ring, gold celtish cross ring, trenchcoat, black lipstick and fingernails
and of course, the burnoose.
one of those delightful little hats so often seen in the middle east, where my dad bought it for me. often seen on arafat, sharon, and the inevitable bin laden.
ever had 2000 people *stare* at you, some of whom you know? it's rather tense. I knew that when I wore the outfit, mostly cuz I thrive on attention and have a nice little poker face, but it was exhausting nontheless. I think I'm one of the most talked about kids at my school now, which is nice. heh. I used to be so shy. and there's all these hundreds of little freshmen who have never seen me before. they were surprised. heh.
so, the people who didnt know me called me bin laden, taliban, towelhead, and the like, and the ones who did were impressed with my self esteem, thought I looked quite stylish, and thought I was becoming a little scary, perhaps going for the weird look. half the jewerly, makeup, and hat were all new.
strangely, 7 hrs of striding through staring crowds was not the most exhausting thing of the day. I broke up with my girlfriend of a yr about a month a go, and all these nice new female sights prodded me to start a irl social life; I've been online a lot of the last few yrs.
so I asked one beautiful girl who I had never seen before, what her name was. and *that* was the hardest thing of the day. in the past, girls have made the first move, and I dont have much practice with it. I know what to do once we're dating, heh, but getting to that point I'm inexpeirenced with. any suggestions/comments?

I would like to point out that Talen is Christian, dresses like a goth, and listens to Marilyon Manson. He has some priority issues.

What's wrong with a Christian? Where in the Bible does it say "Thou shalt not dress like a freak"?

I think it's near the part where they tell you not to let your hair grow unkempt or you'll be struck down and die, or maybe the part where they tell you that shellfish is unclean, so you'll go to Hell if you eat lobster.

Awesome. I keep my hair clipped and short, and I hate seafood.

Seriously, though, I hope you don't think *all* Christians are that stupid.

You hate seafood? I've never understood how anyone can hate seafood. No scallops, salmon, shrimp, lobster, or crab? *grabs Cyril by the shoulders and shakes him violently* What's the matter with you?

Certainly not. In my experience, most Christians don't take the Bible word-for-word literally. However, as for the ones who
do take it literally ... well, I think everyone knows what I think.

Born and bred Philadelphian sub/urbanite. It's those crazy Bostonian types who like seafood.
May the cheese steak rule forever.

2nd day of school
I've been warned that if I wear the hat on 9/11, I could possibly get hurt. . .people have been hearing things.
so I'm going to have a blue tear makeup on my face
and if something does happen, next time I go to school, same outfit as today, with a big sign on the back; if you think wearing a kafiah means I supported the bombings, FUCK YOU!
hehe.

I must admit that it's been over a dozen years since I had to worry about which to wear to school, but in my day I usually wore jeans and a t-shirt. Others who considered themselves hip (that's equivalent to "cool" or whatever you all are using now) wore painter's pants and button shirts with rolled up sleeves. Op shirts were also popular, and Spuds Mackenzie was the dude dog of the day.
The far-out folks wore mohawks and dyed hair (I understand that's starting to come back). Nobody would be caught dead in bellbottom pants (think those are called flairs now). Some of the more daring dudes would wear an earring in the left earlobe (unless they were made to take them out by outraged administrative staff).

I see people with mohawks and green hair and 20 earrings every day. they dont shock at all.
so I go above and beyond such things.
