"If you can see the hills, its going to rain, if you can't see the hills, it is raining..."
Family saying... one half of the family's from Kintyre.

Hah, it's cracking the flags here in Lancaster.
Our resident rain cloud gang must have gone up north or something.

Well two old scottish sayings are
"If you don't like the weather wait 15 minutes"
and
"like every where else we have four seasons. Unlike everywhere else we often get them all in one day."
[edit]my spelling seems to get wores by the day

Interestingly enough, here in the Chicago area we've been experiancing some very crappy weather. Hopefully, the rest of the week will be as pleasent as today.

It's a stereotypically Britianesque day today here. Cloudy, chilly, and rainy (or just looking like it's about to rain). Fun.

Lancaster is typically rainy and overcast most the time, not like my home village. But being right next to the sea and Lake District I guess I couldn't expect anything else, makes for good hiking and field trips.
Right now it is sunny, no clouds, about 20 degrees. Tomorrow it may be 14 degrees, rainy and windy. The day after it could be hotter than the Costa Del Sol (and it does reach those temps.) and the day after that it could be snowing.
It's that volatile.
Like I always say, in the UK we don't have a climate, just weather.

I prefer the Irish weather. It rains all the time but it's very rarely cold rain. Scotland is just too cold.
