Is this our Mike Wong?
Okay, saw this posted over at SB.com and was reading the peoples responses at the bottom of the article. One is from Michael Wong, engineer from Canada, and deals with evolutionism vs creationism. Could be a huge coincidence, but I was curious.

And here I thought the 'thought police' were confined to the US.... That article flat out makes me sick. Where are the people that say "Ohh, that offends little suzy-q because they didn't like the way it was worded? Too fucking bad!"?

Well, the only way we could know for sure is if we ask him if it's his.
And, on the topic of the article, if 1984 is banned from schools, is it because it's "offensive to people that don't live in police states", "depicts brutal dictatorships in a negative manner", or because "It gives away our plan for schools across the country"?

That is absolutely and repulsively INFURIATING.
I swear if Political Correctness manifested itself into a human being I would have no qualms in killing that person. Seriously. I will be a martyr to COMMON FUCKING SENSE.
On a related topic, at my birthday party my aunt pointed out how my little cousin's birthday (which is very close to mine) could not be celebrated in her school because "it discriminates against the kids who can't afford presents." God fucking DAMMIT I HATE THIS SHIT. When I have children I'll take an in-depth look at my town's education system and see if that vomit-inducing shit is enforced there, if so, I'll attempt to combat it legally and politically. In the more-than-likely even I'll lose, the answer is simple: home school.
No, really; you guys have NO idea how much I find PC offensive. I'm almost willing to advocate violence against its open supporters. A good bash in the chops'll knock some sense into these ultra-liberal uber-facist shiteating cumsuckers.
Absolutely infuriating. Disgusting.

Some of the things in the article seem a bit exaggerated. Mountain climbing stories are banned because they discriminate against kids living in flat areas?! Dolphins banned because they discriminate against kids that don't live near the sea?! I refuse to believe there are people in the world that are that mind-numbingly stupid. They almost seem like jokes.
Help, I'm scared.

I'm in my 4th reading of it. It's the the book I always want to be in the state of reading (I think the last two times I finished it, I just started over again).DPDarkPrimus wrote:I should read that again, thanks for reminding me.Darth Utsanomiko wrote:*Shrugs, goes back to reading Fahrenheit 451*
I need to read it more often. Everyone should. It should be required reading for every even-numbered grade past 4th.

Well reading that made me feel sick to my stomach, sounds like an old sketch from Fast Forward (Or SNL for the Americans)

I'm glad Master Mike and the rest of the responses either mock or scathe the decision. It's been posted before, but this time we've noticed our fearless leader.

Okay - it's time to decide who's what?? I'd like to be chief of the Pro-Cloning Debate Team, as long cloning isn't politically correct. Or the "Youth Anti-Censorship Brigade."Darth Gojira wrote: Ultraviolence, Simon H. Johansen; I think that an anti PC league is just what the doctor ordered
