Yeah, the way I see it is if somebody's gonna kill themselves, they've got much bigger problems than what TV show they were fond of.

Furthermore, how many millions of suicide-free fans does Evangelion have? How many times have I not committed suicide just because I like Evangelion? Why don't they think of that? Fucking Columbine-esque scapegoating bullshit. TV and video games don't make people crazy-go-nuts.

It would appear to me that his previous suffering from over-exposure to christinaity and sheltering from reality made the kid unstable enough that the slightest breeze would have knocked him over the edge, so to speak.

Only if that kid is so fucked up that he can't tell reality from fantasy, and if that happens virtually anything could set him off. He himself is the problem, not Evangelion.

And again a parent trying to pass the blame onto something/someone else, these kind of people make me sick. She's probably trying her hardest now to stop her child from questioning things and attempting to return him to his dog like obiedience.

Reminds me of the seven-year-old kid who killed himself, and left a note for his mother saying that he would be "training with King Kai in the next dimension" and not to cry, but to find the Dragon Balls to bring him back to life.
