Is 1gb bandwidth for a webforum enough?

does anyone know if 1Gb of bandwidth is enough for a forum? (Expected number of visitors 57 per week) I also have 50mb of space for it, and I'm not sure if that's enough for storing the posts. How many posts could 50mb hold? Thanks in advance.

I personally don't think it's enough. You might want more gigabytes of bandwidth.

Those numbers sound about right for a very small forum. If you had eight users a day, each making maybe five posts at one or two kilobytes a post, you'd consume 80 KB of your cap per day. At that rate, you'd hit your montly cap in 34 years.
You might want to bump up your storage capacity though. At the rate I specified, you'd be completely out of room in 22 days. That, or you archive the month's posts locally and clear out your server.

I think I need to put this in perspective with a few numbers:
StarDestroyer.Net BBS (not including the main site):
Monthly bandwidth: 45GB
Daily posts: ~1500
Most users online at any given time: typically 50-60
Database size: 407MB (would be aproaching 600MB if not for searchtable prunes).
A busy forum is not for the faint-hearted
