Hi, I just got off the phone to the girl I went out during 1999 and 2000.

sometime in the late months of 2000, she said she would never speak to me again, and for 13 months or so we didn't have anything to do with each other.... Then I joined a forum she hung around at and over the last however long (since about 2002 or so) we started 'semi' conversing on that (using our forum names not our real names, though we both knew who the other person was) and eventually I basically asked her to Email me... Soon after we were talking on MSN... and then a few months ago via SMS. Today we spoke on the phone for 1 hour 10mins or so and It was great! She's coming up to my City soon so where even going to meet each other again. I'm pretty happy about that :) and that where friends again... (though unlike with Claire we wern't really friends to start with, we just kinda met and went out after about 1 1/2 months of knowing each other... with Claire it was like we met and 2 years later I decided I loved her, then near 6 months later we started going out... That issue remains unresolved for now. But I feel nearly genuinley happy today after talking to Elli...

oh yeah

here is a pic of Elli. and this picture was actually taken by her during our conversation. so that phone she's holding has me talking there :) cool huh!

I'm hoping that what happened with Elli may somehow have a parallel with Claire myself... Hope you're successfull also Talen. It's not a nice thing to loose a friendship. Me, I don't have enough friends to be loosing any, so... yeah.

I wish you luck in your honorable pursuit.

Relationship/Friendship after breakups... it does work.
I just came out of a relationship back in late February and I'm not even thinking about communication or friendship at the very least with her.

depends on the breakup, of course. there is this other femme I havent talked to in 18+ months, and I would be happy to continue that.

well

Well it COULD work, it just depends on what happened to cause the break up and what happened at the break up. Or sometimes you just get a biatch who decides they want nothing to do with you when you break up because they think that they're too good for you or something. I should know, it always happens to me :?

It depends on a number of things, why did you break up? What kind of person is she etc.

Personaly it never happens for me, I've been dumped and we agree to keep in touch then i decide i never every want to see her/him again. Thats more to do with me because i'm an "all or nothing" kind of person.

Yes and No.

I have had very amiable break-ups(for lack of a better word) and some that where she was screaming and crying and ran off with me sitting feeling like crap.

It does happen but depends completely upon how people are broken up(I have two *mother-hens* because of this)

But cool that you got one that worked out afterwords.

Still friends with ex-girlfriend.
She kinda temporarily hates me for saying that Kenshin looked gay and that techno sucked, but she'll get over it. Had nothing to do with break-up...

In a perfect world where people were unselfish and kind, even during a breakup friendship would still continue, a nobody would ever be so heartless to tell someone that sincerely loves them never to speak to them again. That's the most heart piercing and emotionally hurtful thing that can be done to another person, and people would never be so cruel.

Of course we don't live in a perfect world now do we?
