Well simple question really, what's your favorite semi fast food place(like a pizza parlor only in your area, a hot dog stand...etc)

For me, there are two...one is the Breadline(long lines, great sandwiches)
and Five Guys(beefy burgers, greasy as all hell...I know I'm dying at 40 but eh)

So anyone elses?

Hmmm... currently, probably a kebab, a nice traditional grey coloured slimy thing thats had flies and who knows what else on it, served with a couple of chillis, a mass of green coloured hamster bedding, a few onions, a defrosted pitta bread and slathered in enough chilli sauce and seeds to power the entire chip-shop industry for a month.

It may not sound appealing, but IMO, there's little better. :)

EDIT: ah, thats what happens when tiredness takes over, must read question in future , well, I suppose this place called Popeyes would be current, as it does said kebab at 2 in the morning... :)

New York City Dogs. They don't just serve hot dogs, but have tons of other stuff too.

In the Los Angeles area, I'd have to say Tommy's Hamburgers. It's a small chain, but their burgers are charbroiled and very tasty; they also tend to serve chili on everything.

For pseudo-Mexican food, Del Taco. They beat the pants off Taco Bell when it comes to taste...

The mafia pizza place by my work. They have the best pepperoni pizzas I've ever had, I'd eat them every day but the damn things are too unhealthy for that. When you can almost feel your arteries clogging after a slice you know it ain't good for you, but oh..it tastes so good.

There's this place called Sunset Cafe near where I live, and it has good pizzas, as well as a variety of Italian foods, but it's usually packed full so I don't usually go there often.

The other restaurants near where I live are either part of a major chain, or I've never eaten at them.

For a long time I was practically a resident in "Littlejohns" here in Ayr...but then it got bought out and I'm hardly there anymore....when it comes to a quick bite to eat after a club then the two popular choices are the "Boathouse" which is down by the harbour and does burgers, and then there's "Tasties" which does pretty much the same plus pizza's.....though to be honest if its snack I want I go to "Upper Crust" a damn nice sandwich place.....though since its really a loaf with stuffing I dont think sandwich is right

Uncle Sam's sub shop here in Pittsburgh. They make damn good sandwiches that fill you up and taste great, plus at a reasonable price. I can get a large sandwich, fries, and a drink for 7 dollars. Thinking about it makes my mouth water.

Bill Miller's is a(I think) Texas-only BBQ place with the best fries in exsistance and cheap iced tea.

Also there is this place called Main Street Pizza that has wonderful 18'' pizzas.

Easy. Mooses Saloon has the best walk in pizza anywhere in the valley. There are better places, but this place makes a very good fast and cheap pizza. For a good cafeteria, the local college as a great one. The food is nice, fairly good priced, and prepared quickly.

Fundamentalist owned and operated, IIRC. Not that I boycott fundie places of business, like this one, but just thought I'd share.

I do boycott Carl's Jr., however. They supported Lyndon LaRouche and their advertising is nausea-inducing.

There used to be a great BBQ place down the street, Log Cabin, drive-through only, but it changed hands the quality went downhill. Why is it so hard to find good BBQ?

Does Del Taco still exist? Every one I knew of in the South East closed up over ten years ago.

They are indeed owned and operated by Mormons, hence why they're closed on Sundays. Good food fast, though.

Bah, I must have the actual burrito, but the burrito bowl! Besides, I tend to get all three salsas and sour cream and that doesn't mix too well in the bowl.

Favorite place locally is Schoops Hamburgers in Valparaiso IN, its a tiny local joint, though Ive heard rumbles of franchisies in the future. They make the most awesome double bacon cheeseburger period, and they have this side dish called "Irish Nachos". Its French Fries covered in nacho cheese sprinkled with real bacon bits and green onions and then you dip the concotion in ranch dressing :D I guarantee it takes a month off your life with each serving, and I keep expecting at some time to have to sign a hold harmless clause to order them , but goddam are they awesome!
