The Great User Purge

I have deleted more than 200 users for having a post-count of zero. Some of these people have been signed up for more than 6 months, without making a single post!

Also, I have deleted a large number of users who signed up but never activated their accounts, and a handful of users who deactivated their own accounts (although I left Storm Rucker's account active).

Just FYI.

I keep getting them to do the same at SB.com, I never knew it was so bad here until I browsed the user list (it was a slow night) and saw all those that registered and did jack.

They won't do it at SB.com because some think that they may yet come back and post, others say that it takes too long to bother deleting them. Ah well, at least it means decent screen-names can be free for others who will actually use them.

*Everyone stares*

Uh, I mean WASTE THE MUTHAFUCKERS!

Good. No good traitors, registering and don't even bother to show up. Off to the gulags with them.

On a related note, would you believe my brother thought Obi-Wan said "oysters" not "voices" in that quote?

This is the second time that we've had a massive purge of users that didn't bother to post, I believe. It was months since the last one, and I believe it was time for another for a while.

His line is much better than the original. "It was like a million oysters suddenly cried out and were silenced... I fear something terrible has happened to my favorite all-you-can-eat seafood buffet..."

Let them die, tis the fate of those who are foolish enough to sign up and do nothing.
