Just scary
"There are some cases where we've had mental health patients where this was all they would speak," said the county's purchasing administrator, Franna Hathaway.
County officials said that obligates them to respond with a Klingon-English interpreter, putting the language of starship Enterprise officer Worf and other Klingon characters on a par with common languages such as Russian and Vietnamese, and less common tongues including Dari and Tongan.
Ok, so trekkies are going crazy, getting locked up, and speaking Klingon.

I got mine in '86 I think it was. A novelty at the time, and you didn't run into nutjobs yelling "Kappla!" at you at conventions....
I remember how to say "Your vessel is a garbage scow".

I'm very fucking disturbed that that happens enough to warrant a translator.

I bought Star Trek - Klingon when it came out in the mid 90's. The 1st disk is a learn to speak Klingon disk. I only every bothered to learn the insults. One time at a convention in the Kings Hall here in Belfast i called a woman in Klingon armour a sleevok well thats what it sounds like, and it's Klingon for slut. My people skills are better in english. If you want the Disk it's yours.

I used to know how to say "Where is the bathrom?" but then I realized that I didn't care and no one who knew Klingon knew where the can was, anyway.

Well the "Trekkies" documentary shows the interstellar language research center who are working a klingon grammer and a klingon to english dictionary. This guys have already completed translating bible into klingon language. Perhaps they can consult with them.

I doubt it. Tolkien fans tend to be pretty dedicated but not insane. No one has Trekkies beat as far as insane fanboys.
There are Quenyan, Sindarin, and Westernesse translators, they just work on major summer blockbusters.
