Anything by Guns n' Roses (rocks harder than Pearl Jam without the PC garbage).

Ummm, I think he's not necessarily referring to the music it's self, but rather, the statements it makes.

heh. as music, its ok. as commentary, its very interesting.
similar to brave new world, I suppose. not that good writing, but good statment nontheless.

Bingo. The music doesn't bother me that much, but I always though of PJ as just a second-rate Nirvana with a silly message.

Heh, would it surprise you to hear that I hate Brave New World also (I thought of it as being vastly inferior to 1984)?

well yes, 1984 does show more unnerving future.
drugged out emptinesss of brave new world is just. . . empty. not repressive, really.

Then Dream Theater is for you! Very thought provoking, as well as being musically correct!

If you want a good music video, Talen, how about Gimme by Alice Cooper?

It is one of the most blatantly cliche anti-war, industry, American (at least Government), and anti-human videos release. Proving McFarlene is a hack at directing and Pearl Jam once again proven to be a cheap Nirvana wannabe.

My favourite music video is 'Trouble' by Coldplay. That's the most beautiful animation I've ever seen, and it represents the song perfectly. Simply lovely.

Actually, I'd take Rush over DT any day. I dunno, but they sound so steril and masturbatory at times. Rush on the other hand feels very locked in as well as having brilliant lyrics. If you haven't listened to them, pick up 2112 imediately!

Heathen! You cannot compare these two books, both focus on vastly different concepts. The theory of a dystopia is evident in both, but thats about as far as you can push it.
