They're not bad as far as doughnuts go. I honstely prefer the cold, stale duchies at Tim Horton's.

I don't really eat donuts, but a Krispy Kreme is opening in my town in a couple months. I'll probably drink gallons of coffee.

Ain't they.
In my college day when I was at GWU, I would stake those thing out to get them while they were hot.
Nowaday I pass by the one on Route 1 every once in a while to pick up a 12 pack.

It still amazes me to see peoples reactions to KK. I've been eating KK donuts for my entire life. (doesn't hurt to live 30 minutes from the very first store) The best, however, is chocolate covered cream filled. Mmmmmmmmm.......... Damn, I'm hungry now!

I don't understand the appeal of donuts. I'd much rather have a bowl of strawberries and ice cream if I want to spoil myself.

i brought 2 dozen into the office and they are already gone. i've had 3 myself and now i'm on such a sugar high. so much for losing 10 pounds for the wedding. lol
and Mike, have you ever had Krispy Kreme? Dunkin Donuts and Tim Hortons taste like sugar dipped fried turds compared to Krispy Kreme.
It's funny, there were 4 city cops on traffic detail outside the donut shop! four! and there were like five state troopers in line! hmmmm

You DO NOT want to know about how they make the sugar glaze.... or where for that matter. *shudders*

Hush Kelly! Don't spoil it for us!
What I loved was when schools or scouts would have a fundraiser selling boxes of KK. I lived in a town where the nearest KK was 50 miles away, so this was a treat!

I find them to be overly sweet for me, which is saying a lot. If I eat any, a warm, plain glazed it good. The chocolate covered one is way too sweet.

Nonononono... there is no glaze on the chocolate covered. It's not as sweet as a glazed. I can't eat glazed if they're cold. The solidified glaze gives me a headache.

Been there, done that. [yawns] Had Krispy Kremes when I was little, and then the first store opened in New Mexico and it was a big hit, as well.

I am unimpressed by Krispy Kreme doughnuts. They're far too rich and sweet for me. Give me Dunkin's anytime.

The difference betwen Krispy Kreme donuts and Dunkin' Donuts is....
KK is a yeast donut while DD is a cake donut.

KK is ok....but I prefer Shipley's myself. That damn glaze on everything is overkill.....plus there's a wider selection of donuts at Shipley's!
Dunkin' Donuts? They're still around? Wow...
