For those of you interested in new and upcoming microprocessors, Ars has the second part of their article on the PPC970 up now. Unfortunately, it's lacking in information about the L2 implementation, but it's still quite good.

Bah, the last PPC970 thread I had garnered some interest. Some, mind you.

I don't really like that Altivec implementation, though, it just seems to tacked on. Still, PPC970 is a beast. I wonder if IBM can do their 'dual cores on a chip' thing later.
