Living in a suburb of Detroit, I can tell you right now there won't be any eclipse-viewing tonight.

Stupid fucking cloud cover. I could see it for a minute when it was about 90% covered, but that’s been it. Well, the next ones in November.

Well, somthing's EATING THE MOON!

*lights incense and prays most devoutly*

I offer the sacrifice of my penis to the Moon eating demons!

*mashes penis off with a spoon*

Well, good thing it worked, the Moon is emerging out of the demon's mouth!
Ahhh, the power of prayer. And penile sacrifice!

Sat outside and watched it. Didn't watch it go back down though.

normally the moon is so bright it looks like a flat disc, but just before the penumbra covered the last bit of pure light it looked VERY spherical and metallic. I was expecting to see a green beam lance out towards earth, or to hear someone say "Commence primary ignition." :)

Started watching this from the porch roof, but the fog from the toreential rain we'd had earlier rose and blocked the view just as the PenUmbra had covered half of the moon. Never cleared, either. Dammit.

I fell asleep early. Like 5 minutes after I posted I was going to go outside as soon as it got dark.

Oh well. I think it was getting kinda cloudy anyway, so maybe I didnt miss anything.

Did anyone else notice a small line of light sticking out of each side, near the top?
