All I need is a new tower because I already have a moniter*from previous comp*

What's the best for a gamer like me?
My budget is at/less than*hopefully use a lot less* $2000

I was thinking about getting it custom made by yours truly because it's cheaper than buying from a company but..
A. I don't know how to configure a computer.
B. Not sure what goes to what.
C. I have no clue about computers.

---------------
Also, I still have my old tower which my bro put in a new P4 and motherboard and when he tried to turn it on... it didn't turn on and after several tries the Power supply blew up. Any ideas what happpen?

Jason

The PSU might have been too weak for the Pentium IV.

For $2000, this represents a maximum.

You can save a considerable amount of money by getting the next-slowest Pentium 4 (3GHz, using the 533Mhz FSB rather than 800MHz) or going AMD. The DVD+/-RW is nice to have, but can be safely replaced by a DVD-ROM/CD-RW or even a standalone CD-RW. The video card can be stepped down to either a cheaper nVidia or ATI card.
