Greetings from La Plata, Maryland!

I'm at my uncle's PC here off a quaint Maryland highway near La Plata, Maryland, south of D.C. I'll be here with my dad and brother until about the middle of the week, and we intend to spend at least one day in DC doing some sightseeing.

And before you say it, no, I did not actually come to take part in a duel to the death with MKSheppard to decide the final victor in the ongoing dispute between the HAB and the MM. :P

Provide me with a time period of which you will be in the Air and Space
Museum in DC, and I will take Metro down there (station is only 2 blocks
away), and we shall decide the final victor, with proof via my digital camera

Yes, and I picked it up from my best friend who lives in Salt Lake City, so....*shrugs* Dunno what to tell ya, babe. You don't hear it out there 'round you? :D

Only if you can manage to get down to the Air and Space in the time
alloted...

PS - don't even fucking bother to drive into DC - it's a shithole as far
as traffic is concerned. Park your car in one of the metro stations
in montgomery/Prince William County's parking lots and take the
Metro down to the Smithsonian station.

SLC, huh? Well probably didn't pick it up off of any local, cause I haven't heard of it except of you and Ando. I am an old uncoool guy, but I think I would have picked up on this if it happened. :D

The only time I hear "huzzah" is on the commercials for the Renaisance Festival. Your friend doesn't happen to go in for that kind of stuff does she? :)

I second that: with all of the one-way streets, DC is a maze even with a map (and the drivers are possibly the most insane in the US.) Take the Metro and spare yourself a lot of grief.

Nothing wrong with them being guys, and I sure wouldn't mind seeing nude pictures of them hugging. C'mon guys, snuggle & smile for the camera! :P :P

For you DC area people, I'll be at the entrance to the Air and Space Museum at 1:00PM, give or take a bit in case we're held up at other places.

Just look for someone about 6'4"+ with really really big green and white Nike sneakers with a collared shirt and shorts.

You'll need guns, at least one gun. Or steel toed boots. Just kick his bipedal ass.

And why would he do that? I'm not a Mecha-fan either, I understand perfectly the superiority of tanks. It's just that I have a functioning capability for suspension of disbelief.

Oh, and.... my family's going to be there. And I've invited anyone in the DC area who can make it.

Now I must go if we are to be in Washington in time for the rendezvous.

Have fun...ah Air and Space my fave.

As for driving in DC...it is quite possible but require extreme foreknowledge of said roads and what intersects where...and when does traffic allow you to do so. It's not so bad as confusing.20+ years of living here helps as well

And I like Huzzaqh...though from where I got it...I have no idea.

Well, it's okay, as I had not realized there were two entrances, and I waited at the Independence Ave. entrance and not the Mall entrance.

Washington was cool. A lot of kids though, there was some sort of large field trip going on. We walked from the Air & Space museum down to the Lincoln Memorial and back to the Smithsonian Metro station. By this time it was past five and rush hour, so we were packed in like sardines on the ride back to the Branch Ave. station. Heh. I didn't think my dad and bro would make it, neither are used to walking for that amount of time. I, fortunately, have a lot of practice in walking at my job.

We managed to get some pictures, I'll probably go and get them developed today at a local store, and if it isn't too much extra, I'll get an extra CD of the pictures for easy posting when I get home.

BTW, Shep, you and I can't really fight over Mechs vs. Tanks. We're of the same mind on the subject, after all. Just that I think you're a bit more.... touchy. :)
