IP Masking, I guess it is.

Just wondering if anyone knows how to hide it from something like, well, here.

I have no intention of doing it here, because the IPs are available only to the Mods (or maybe just our Evil Admin, not sure), and I'm pretty sure I can trust them.

But, I might be posting over at a Forum that displays them for the public to see, and I'd like to avoid that if possible. So anyone have any tips? I'm doing this as a favor to a friend, to help them out with some trouble, so I can't just "not go" or anything like that.

Thanks for any help!

Hide behind a proxy server. If your ISP doesn't provide one, you can always google up one.

Ugh, this is all very complicated from what I'm reading... Any help would be nice!

FYI, I'm running Win 98 with an MSN 8 56K Dial-up Connection, if that matters in what I use.

It doesn't, believe me. All you have to do is get the IP address for the proxy server, that either your ISP hosts (many of them do) or one free on the net, and go into your browser's settings and input it there.

Unless you're me, where NOT A SINGLE proxy works. But that's just me.
