I have no large scars. The most noticeable would be the 1-inch long scar on my left knee, where, as a kid I sliced it badly on some tin. My right hand has small visible scar from a burn (1st job, kitchen assistant / waitor). On my left hand is a series of small scar marks which correspond to the bite pattern of a dog. The last two aren't really visible and you have to look closely to see them.

Both knees (bike and skateboard), left wrist (bike), hands (various, including hot oil from a popcorn popper), abdomen (my brother put up the side of the crib too fast when I was little and caught me).

However *knock on wood*, I have never had a broken bone to my knowledge.

I think I have this one won. I have several small scars on my shoulder caused by shrapnel from a car bomb, and getting those pieces of metal removed at the hospital was rather painful to say the least.

Depends on the fight.

Started out with a dinky 2" butterfly.

Ended up falling back on a 6" Bowie. Can't beat it for balance.

Never really got into tacs. I know a couple of guys who used to like 'em, but to be honest, none of them were really good fighters. I think they liked the tacs because the cost upwards of $80, and as we all know, if they're expensive, they MUST be good.

I'm way too simplistic for that. I like the clean lines of traditional knives. Lacquered wood hilts, simple leather sheaths...

BTW, I'm 6'3 with a damned good wingspan. Reach is the last thing I'm worried about with knives. ;) But you are correct. The reach would probably come in handy for some, and Bowies definitely help with that.

I like the Tac because of how it fits in a ballistic hip holder..

BTW: Nice thread highjack..

I'm more of a Henckel man myself. Those tomatoes don't know what hit them.

Surprisingly not, though we did get our windows shot out while living in Kuwait. The carbomb incident happened while we were in Nepal and that was '96.

OUCH!

small(now, but it took 10 stitches back in the day) scar on my right side upperlip. When I was a child my cousin was swinging a shovel trying to hit another cousin and accidentally hit me instead, square in the face. Knocked out two teeth.

I don't have any visible scars now, as they all healed, but I did get several small scars throughout my life from bike accidents, cuts from knives, falls, and burns.

I've an assortment of other minor scars, but the only one that's really visible is one I picked up when I was working as a bouncer. I was working the door to a place on my own (such a fucking wonderful company I was working for  ) and a load of trouble started, I ended up in a fight with one of the guys outside, he managed to land a punch on my forehead with a ring on. It was a nasty cut at the time, but it's healed into a rather cool little S shaped scar.

The guy however didnt have much luck after that, I grabbed his arm and basically drop kicked him in the nuts and brought him to the ground. After that it was off for a few stitches.

My most memorable scars are 3 cuts that I have on my arms. 1 was inflicted by my father. The other by an ex. The third by a childhood friend. ahhh, the memories. I also have a cool finger scar but unfortunately I can't seem to find the picture I scanned of it just after almost losing it to a spring compressor under about 1500 pounds of load. Oh well. Just like a giant mousetrap. Snap!
