Let's take it further. :D :D I know I'm going to be nuked for it, but here it goes: "Annika should stay home in the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant." :P

*oh hell..... [xtreme takes off to parts unknown]*

[Edit]: Just to let you know I'm just kidding... *resumes hiding*

See now that one was uncalled for, Its one thing to keep up the friendly male and female rivalry, its another to instigate "foot induced testicular inveraions"

Well it appears we now have a sports fad on the boards.

Though I don't mind a bit of rivalry between men and women, makes things interesting.

Annika did EXTREMELY well considering how much faster the greens in the men's tour are compared to those of the ladies' tour. Plus, she had an unbelieable amount of attention placed on her, which was about 100x's more intense than anything she had experienced on the ladies' tour. I can't even begin to imagine the kind of pressure she was under, and I thought she did an incredible job with all that taken into account.

She beat more than a dozen of the male players at the event; not bad. She certainly got a lot farther than, say, a female powerlifter would have gotten in a men's powerlifting tournament.

Any man agreeing with those first posts deserves it (appropriate penance and all that...?).

Also: One should remember that the media - and her fellow golfers in the tournament - placed an enormous pressure on her. I suspect she would have faired somewhat better, if not by an enormous amount, had female golfers on the PGA been a common occurance, so you didn't have things like Vijay Singh quitting over her and press conferences being held for a relatively minor player and so on.
