I recently downloaded a bunch of soundfiles from threestooges.com for my stooges theme for Windows. Now, these sound files say that they are .asf files, and apparently Windows can only play .wav files for sounds. Does anyone know how I can convert them to .wav files so that I can make my theme?

The only way I know is to download Microsoft Graph Editor, then change the output filters from the output sound device to "WAV DEST" and "FILE Dump" and type in the name of the file you want.
It's complicated though.

I'd suggest VirtualDub but the Microsoft Nazis forced them to remove ASF support.

Go download the latest version of Windows Media and you'll be able to play it.
Even if you had GraphEdit, you'd have to install WM in order to decode the file to PCM. (Get it in your mind, people, WAV is only a file wrapper! You can shove MP3 in it if you wished)
