Ok, before we get into this thread, I just want to make it clear that I do NOT go for horoscopes that tell you about how your day will turn out, saying shit like, "Save money today, avoid tall people with crooked eyebrows and cross at the crosswalks at lunchtime."

So. To the point:

I own a book called Sex Signs (by a woman named Judith Bennett) which is really interesting. It describes the characteristics of people from each horoscope sign in detail as those characteristics pertain to love, sex, and sexual relationships. What struck me about this is that the description for my sign (doorprize to who remembers when my birthday was and consequently knows my sign!) was DEAD ON. Like, not sort of, wishy-washy right, but frighteningly accurate.

So, each sign has about 30-40 pages about it, but I'm not going to copy the entire book on here (Judith would not love me then). However, for each sign, she has a list of adjectives to describe how that person is a majority of the time. Every single one of mine fit. And, after typing them all up myself, I know that each list is different, and my list is DEFINITELY me and not just me twisting it to be me.

Anyway!

That's what I thought, until I read the other signs and so how I totally fit with mine and not really with the others. Weird.

Hmm....I've noticed there are plenty of contradictions between traits under each sign...for the most glaringly obvious one includes both "day person" and "night person".....

As for me, I could I suppose say yes for about 3/4ths of them....but they arent exactly specific sorts of things.....

Well, they can't be so specific to the point where they say, "You have a fetish for people with long incisors" because they are meant to apply to 1/12 of the populus of the earth, in theory. *shrugs*

I'm not saying I believe in it, exactly. I just find it interesting because mine fits me so well. Like 98% of stuff some of which my best friend doesn't even know about me, opposed to your 75% of stuff you find rather general anyway.

Well, the astrological calendar is screwed up, anyway. It's about 2500 years off from the current zodiac, meaning that I really should be a Cancer although I'm listed as a Leo.

Of course, the zodiac is completely arbitrary, anyway. Change the constellations and you'll throw everything off.

That said, I seem to have about half of the traits in both Cancer and Leo. Oh well...
