As I think I have mentioned beofre, I was scheduled to travel to China over Easter, as part of a school trip for those studying the Chinese culture. Anyway, SARS kicked in, and the trip got cancelled, I was down about $3000, I was not happy.
But then a rumour grew, one that we could move the trip to Vietnam, and for a few hundred bucks, we move the trip and all our travel arrangements. So, in a little over a month, I'll fly to Vietnam. I'll see Saigon and basically the whole country.
Unfortunately there is no helicopter ride through the villages with 'Ride of The Valkyries' playing.

I seriously doubt they'll let him do this on a school trip. They certainly never let me.
OK, there never were neither gooks nor corpses on our school trips anyway, but there were enough trees to easily compensate for that.

I've been to Vietnam, luckily I can blend in better than the average American

It's a good place to visit, though I spent half the time at my grandfather's farm in the Mekong Delta.

Ok, how many of you have seen Travel Sick? Is it Vietnam where there's the golf course right on the DMZ? I SOOOOOOOO want to do that one day! Too awesome!

Isn't that South Korea? Vietnam doesn't have a DMZ. Unless there's one on the border with China or something that I'm not aware of.

Travel Sick is an awesome British TV show that's on Comedy Central sometimes (I don't know when it comes on, but I watch it whenever I stumble upon it). It's really fucking hilarious. The host is sent to different places around the world and given things he needs to pass off. It sounds like a reality TV show or something, but it's not.

Gah, it's just really damn cool.
