Schools almost out.

This monday is my last day of Junior year in High School, it's so late because of a Snow(read: 12 hours of 20 degree weather) day and vets bitching about us going to school on memorial day. Today, I realized something I really liked. Most of my friends are seniors, I get along with the seniors a lot better than the juniors, probly because I was born just too late to get in the school the year I was going to turn 6(by 15 days accually), now some of my friends who are 11r, and are about to be 11rr, while I'm going to be a senior. I just thought that was cool, getting ahead of my friends who have a year more of school than I do.

Lucky shit, you think that's late!? My junior year ends on the 16th, extended to the Monday by a snow day. I know of no school, which gets out earlier then the 9th.

When does school start for you? I start around August 20th.

Late? When I was in HS in S. Florida, we wouldn't get out until mid to late June, and we started again in late August.

I get out in 11 days, and get back sometime in early September. This is the end of my junior year, heading into the, rather pointless, senior year.

We start before labor day (late august, around the 28th)
We get out, normally, around the 18th or twentith. Normally, as we would normally have snow days.
We haven't.
In four years.
I live in Massachusetts.
And people claim there's no such things as global warming.

Which would make winters worse…. So yes I guess there is no such thing.

I think you have the wrong definition of worse in relation to winter. Yes, it was a worse winter, because there wasn't all that much snow. But no, there is such a thing as global warming, becuase I shouldn't be able to wear a T-shirt in the 50-degree weather at 6am int he midle of Febuary, watching the snow melt and looking at the reflection of the local hospital in the semi-clear waters of the local pond.
I should be freezing my ass off through my twenty pound leather jacket and two layers of pants and nice thick fuzzy hat as the wind tears away my body heat and I feel my nose hairs freeze, while I trudge thorugh three feet of snow to get to the bus stop, and stopping to look at the twenty inch thick ice on the local pond.
THAT IS WINTER!!!
The mild chilly crap that I can shrugg off with a windbreaker is not winter. It's
mid fall. Now, expalin to me again that global warming doesn't exist?

I only have a few days myself, but it seems like it will take longer, with the finals.

School officially ends for me next Friday, but finals end next Tuesday and everything else is just a lame-duck attempt to get funding. And I really have no finals left, having taken them all this week. So I can pretty much skip school Monday, and then show up for English Tuesday. Good thing I've got part of the Metroid Prime soundtrack to keep me entertained.

Congratulations to everyone who's graduating in the next few weeks.
Schools in Northern California (IIRC) get out, this year, on June 13.

Christ people, you must get a lot more holidays than we do, we got 3 for Thanks giving, 20th to the 4th for Chirstmas and one bad weather day. Plus the normal nationally recognized holidays.
