Speaking of short buses, I rode one for my elementary school years, mainly because there were so few students from where I was from that they ddin't need a bigger bus. But, those were 4-5 rows, I've seen shorter. The ones with 2-3 rows and the big door on the side for wheelchairs are probably the retard buses.
