Fucking tax law

Who thinks up these moron assignments? I'm supposed to make submissions on behalf of both the applicant and the commissioner of taxation as to why an inducement for 8 million fucking bucks to enter into a lease agreement for premises by a business is capital or income. If it's capital, the applicant wins, because it's not assessable. If it's income, the commissioner, greedy bastard that he is, wins, because it's assessable.
One fucking problem- how the fuck are you supposed to argue the case for the applicant where EVERY. SINGLE. PREVIOUS. CASE. says that lease inducements are assessable?! It's not fucking reasonable. Where the applicant makes a submission for the judge to look at a previous case, the fucking asshole Justice Goldberg, I'm talking to you, simply dismisses it out fo hand!?
Arghghghghghgh.
Oh, and it's due tommorow.

Sounds like fun, if your brain has been numbed sufficiently by similar pervious assignments.

That was New Zealand, not Australia. And I'm reasonably certain even australian law forbids simply nuking your tax problems.

I'd like to shove a home-made cruise missile up Justice Goldberg's ass for his moron dismissal of FCT v Selleck, that distinguished FCT v Cooling, and then going on to harp about friggin FCT v Myer Emporium Ltd.
I said he was a dumbass. In polite legal speak.

Glad to hear you're not overly worked up about it.
(even though I have no clue what you're talking about)

Ahh yes taxes, why if it weren't for a horribly comp[lex and unneccessarily undiscernable tax code America might actually have a functioning government.

Ahhhh, the legal jargon of doom! They coulda asked me how to re-polarize a quantom isolating matrix with a multi-spectral flux capacator to yield similar results. I'm gonna hate taxes...or whatever you're doing in the above...confusing stuff, man...
