bout 2 yrs ago, I was in a different school. due to a tensed up family situation, I was barely coherant. following a series of bad decisions, my school suspended me, and actually never let me back, even though I took all the psych tests they wanted and the tests said I wouldnt hurt anyone.
2 yrs pass, I develop socially, sleep and eat right, plan for the future, I become utterly fashionable. etc, etc. so I call up this school, and ask if I can visit - after all, I havent had a chance to say goodbye to my friends, and college is starting.
the principle, of course, does not allow me back. what am I going to do, stalk him after 2 yrs?
this kind of administration makes me smirk.

If you visit you usually have to sign in. And he might just get rejected anyways.

Its probably part of their expulsion policy. I would imagine they'd need a special hearing (or something like that) to let you in, even if its just a visit.
Your best bet would be to contact your friends, find out where the after-prom parties are and try to hook-up there. Although I think prom season is past, but perhaps they'll be having some end-of-school-year parties.

NEVER ask to visit... simply do, preferebly during lunch hour.
I went back to Utah and tried to get into a high school to eat lunch iwth my friends, who I hadn't seen in years and years. I went to the front office minutes before lunch and asked to sign in.
After 10 minutes confusion, which was mainly, "Why aren't you in school?
"Because I'm on spring break from Kentucky"
"And you... want to eat lunch here?"
"Yeah, I used to live here and have friends, the Stricklers."
"Um....."
...
"Um..."
*lunch bell rings*
"Umm.... go home."
...... gotta love admins

Suspended for a pocket knife; when kids these days are known for carrying firearms...

That's zero-tolerance for you. Mind you, I'm
not disagreeing with zero-tolerance policies, in fact I believe that they have their use.
And seriously, if I were the administrator at his old school, I'd be just as reluctant to let him back on-campus. After all, he doesn't have a legitimate academic or administrative reason for visiting, and he's on record as having a weapons violation and an high-risk psychological profile. I would assume that particular school has no record of his reformation after his withdrawal and transfer.

It happens. Back in the day when I was in HS (3 or so years ago), a friend of mine got suspended for having one of those 1" keychain knives that couldn't hold an edge if you sharpened it to a nub and was only usefull for its file. On the same hand another friend of mine carried a 7" butterfly and was never busted for it, a teacher even saw him playing with it once... its a sad, sad state that our schools our in...
