Parents to Return Home From UK Tonight

After about eighteen days of Utsanomiko and I holding down the fort, as one would say, our parents will be coming back home from the United Kingdom sometime after 11:00 PM Central.
I think we've done a fairly good job taking care of both the house and of ourselves for the past two and a half weeks, but it'll be good to have them back after such a long time. I for one have honestly missed them.
Starting next week don't expect to see me on as much as I have been, as our mom has an interior decorating business that's based in our house, and we only have a dial-up connection, so I'll probably be restricted to mostly afternoons/evenings and at night.
Just thought I'd give those that are interested in the goings on of our private lives a heads up.

Whereabouts did they go, exactly? If they went near Lancaster then I could've captured them and held them for ranso... uh, I mean, kept them company and shown them the sights, hehe.

Your parents won't be home soon, will you, parents?
*Muffled voices heard in background*
All is falling into place nicely.

I would appreciate it if jokes about my parents inability to return were not made, as I am absolutely terrified whenever family members travel by aeroplane...

Are you scared when they get into a car as well? Because they are more likely to die in a car crash than in a plane crash, and thats a fact, so focus on that rather than the 5 or so major airline crashes you hear about every year!
I saw a stat before that there are 1.3 billion flights a year ... how many of them crash?

Bah, your parents are alright, as has been said, the car journey is the hard part, not the plane. I'm sure they'll have loads of interesting gifts such as black pudding, a picture of a Beefeater and a miniature model of Big Ben made from copper.

Yes, I know that it's an irrational fear. But that doesn't change the fact that I am uncomfortable when family members travel on aeroplanes. I'm glad that I will be releaved when they arrive later tonight...
EDIT: Actually, this has been the fourth time my mom's been to the UK, but the first time for my dad.

Cool...well best for your parent's safety.
Course for me, was glad when I had the place to myself and reason I moved out after college.
Just me, my single cat and turtle...though cleaning can be biatch.

So did they say where they went or was it spontaneous? I assume they drove around as well, staying in, say, London would be a bore even if there are loads of sights to see. I'd much rather be in the country myself.

They left to "rekindle" without having to worry about Spanky or Utsanomiko overhearing them or something.
Just kidding, kidding!!
*Runs like hell*

Can we make fun of you for saying aero instead of air?

No, aero is the correct term, I don't know of many planes made out of fresh air but I do know of aeroplanes that fly through it.

Hush, Limey, or I'll send my army of Winpegs after you.

The fuck is a "Winpeg"? Is it edible or should I kick it?

Vald: Well, they really didn't discuss where they were going much, and I wasn't around/have trouble remembering that kind of stuff. I do know that they were staying in London, Edinburg (sp?), then London again. I know that they'll probably be going to Bath, and to all the other places you Limeys keep all of your historical and antique things.
Shinova: Well, you're sort of right, in a way. The main reasons my parents went were to attend our sister's wedding, and so that my dad could get a real vacation away from the office. But seeing that tomorrow is their 22nd wedding anniversary, they're kind of looking at it as a second/proper honeymoon.
XaLEv: No, you silly little heathen.

After 18 days of sleepless nights you finally have someone to tuck you in bed again

I think you'd better run.
Spanky: Edinburgh, thankfully you didn't say Edinborough like some have.

Well, if you count someone our dad telling us to go to bed at three in the morning as "tucking in"...
