Watching too much of the Simpsons

Watching too much of the Simpsons
I think over the years that I've finally reached the point where I've watched too many Simpsons' episodes. I still like them but they are begining to have too much impact on my life.
I don't know what was first but "ay caramba" and "D'oh!" have been in my vocabulary for while. "D'oh!" definately gets lots of use.
Other things that have worked their way in are Marges' "mmmmmm", Homer's "Idunno" complete with shoulder shrug and vacant look. His nervous finger twiddle, and occasionally the accompanying whine, is also a regular.
Others that make ocassional appearances are "excellent" and "ha ha".
But the one that I've noticed lately and which kind of bothers me is that when I am chugging something, esepcially in a bottle I find myself power slamming it like Barney (and many of the other characters) when they just tilt their head back and nearly suck the bottle inside out.
I've just been watching the Simpsons for too long.

Can't do Barney's slam
But have done the Homer special...and use Idunno and d'oh a great deal.
And beside never too much Simpsons...need more Futurama.

Well, I made "If The Simpsons Was Set In The Star Trek Universe" and "If The Simpsons Was Set In The Star Wars Universe".
I'm currently working on an updated version of SW universe Simpsons - and:
If H.P. Lovecraft Wrote "The Simpsons"....
Take care.... beware! Pull the strings!

I just find it sort of scary when I start having more and more traits incommon with Simpsons characters. Now if I were built like Ranier Wolfcastle and as rich as Mr. Burns I wouldn't be complaining but I seem to be going the Homer Simpson / Barney Gumble with a smidge of Bart route.

Too much Simpsons? The devil you say! I understand what you mean, I use all the same catch phrases in daily life. I don't have a problem with it. Now quit this twiterpatted baffoonery or I'll release the hounds.

I use D'oh!, and "Idunno" (complete with shoulder movement and vacant look) a LOT. Plus my friends and I quote it incessantly. And to cap it off I've seen every ep screen in Australia.

I make numerous references to the Simpsons during the week, but only with others who would understand.
I sometimes think of a certain scene when something happens in life. Eating something too spicy makes me think of Lisa Simpson "I can see through time!"
I was helping a friend shop for baby clothes, and I saw one of those one piece winter suits, and I was like "look its Maggie"

The new episodes suck, but the older ones are still classics that I watch whenever I can.

Sorry, I didn't mean to say you were a Noob. It was meant to read; "I feel like we're like those guys...".Frank Hipper wrote:N00B? I saw their first appearance on the Tracey Ullman show!
