You know how a deer steak is called 'venison'?
What do you call a chinchilla steak?

No, I'm serious. You see, I'm thinking of setting up a stand on the main road that claims to sell freshly-killed Chinchilla steaks, but I need to know what they're called.

Please let us not bring up the strange eating habits of the orient...my kitty and turtle are not food(and I still say chincillas are Taco Bell fare)

I thought chinchilla was for fur and Taco Bell was rat meat.

cows and pigs are domesticated too. where you keep your animals doesnt make them any different. dogs and chinchillas are as valid as food as are cows.

Domestication means the animals won't run away from the hunters.

Since it's not an established meat, it'd be just "chinchilla steak" or "chinchilla meat". Not every meat has an established name.
I'd probably at least try it if it was prepared well. But then again, I'd probably try dog meat if it was prepared well, too...

I've had frog legs before. Sorry to make my response so predictable, but it does taste like chicken...
Also had snake before, in Arizona. I thought it was like overfried fish.

So many bones in snake. And you're right. It can be like overfried fish.
