Well, let's get this over with. This is all about your Avatar. Why do you choose it, and what's it mean?

Alright, alright, I'll start. First off, it's the view of a Super-Class Star Destroyer. I believe this is Executor herself. I would have to ask Mr. Wong where he found it, he was gracious enough to get it and place it their for me. Thanks Wong! Second, what's it mean. The Imperial version of my character commands battles from the bridge of the SSD 'Blight'. Now, where's the smite button?

My first two avatars were The One Ring and the Eye of Sauron, since I'm a Tolkien nerd. Then I chose Bill the Cat, my very favorite newspaper comic strip character of all time, from Bloom County. At the moment, it's the Librarian for two reasons: one, Brotherhood of the Monkey, and two, Discworld r0x0rs.

My avatar is a stormtrooper from a light side dark side comic.

My first Avatar, ever, is a OSA-MA Air Defense Missile System launcher deployed. SA-N-4 to those of you who only know NATO code names. It means my fucking missiles have locked on and are ready to knock down bullshit by the planeload. Until ready, the launcher stays in its popup silo.

This example is the stern launcher of a Kirvo class missile cruiser. The picture was obtained from naval technology after both my SM-2 and Bora missile corvette pictures proved impossible to shrink down without distorting or blurring them.

Bora BTW, is the coolest military surface ship in the world. Its a Russia surface effect ship mounting 8 Moscit/SS-N-22 missiles, the same battery as the Sovremenny, a single Osa-MA system with twenty missiles, preventing marauding helo's from picking it off, and it also has a 100mm AK-100 gun on the bow and a pair of AK-630 30mm gatlings as a CIWS.

It can also sustain 50 knots on its turbines...

I have had several avatars. One was the logo for my school, another the main character from HALO, another a moose from another website, and finally a icon from TOOLs website. I thought they looked cool.

My first avatar was just a play on my dad's nick name from me meaning saint, and my second is Neo of course, just because he looks cool, and my handle is the meaning of my true name!

I was wondering what the hell Dalton's new Avatar was. LoL. Who is the librarian. That's a cool looking guy.

Whew I had many avatars. The first one was Boba Fett, next one an ISD, then came Executor and after the Jedi Knight promotion a Sovereign class SD, then came the SMS König for a short period, now it's the SMS Nassau.

My avatar is Raistlin because I have a thing for evil mages. That and I like the dark and creepy look.

My Avatar is Lennox with enhanched graphics. But I might soon be turning too something more CIA like Jones from the Matrix,

Mine is the character on the cover of the movie Amadeus.
I'm actually not certain whether or not it's Salieri or Wolfgang's father; while Salieri is a more prominent figure in the movie, he is imitating Wolfgang's father by dressing like that, and also only Wolfgang's father adopts the pose visible on the cover.

But anyways, I edited out the Queen of the Night from his head and put in the green Imperial sigil from StarDestroyer.Net. It's significance is that I think it's a pretty badass picture. Also, with the Imperial logo there, and the words cut out, it could be the Emperor overlooking Coruscant:



I have a doctored up pic of it, but I'm too damned lazy to upload it anywhere, so use your imagination. Or don't; see if I care.

he´s a character from terry pratchetts discworld novel. he used to be human but worked as librarian (and still works) in the unseen university (that´s the magicians uni). the magic book seem to leak magic and then finally there was a major accident and he turned into a monkey. even though you better not call him a monkey because he´s strong as hell and hates the m-word.

Depends on what day it is but I've had quiet a few avatars over the years(Umm months I guess )

i just got one as well. i was bored so i shot up this avatar after playing a bit with photoshop.

I just added an avatar - Apache helicopter flying out of a sunset.

Reason? The Apache is my favourite piece of military hardware (no real reason for that - I just think they're cool), and this is a really neat picture of one

(I actually downloaded it earlier this week, but then I had to get around to downloading and installing the GIMP so I could resize it to meet the avatar limit)

This is a Land Speeder, a light recon and strike vehicle used by the Space Marines from 40k.
Being a sad bastard who hates and fears the current edition of 40k, I rejigged the old (i.e. right and true) Land Speeder data card by scanning it and pasting in a shot of the current (better?) LS model. The image was laying around on my hard drive, so I used it as a bit of an experiment in buggering around with size ratios to make avatars.

My first avatar was the greatest that is the killer rabbit from ofcourse Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

This one is the Pink Bunny of the Triforce, one of the animals that was listening to the flute player in a link to the past. I thought it look cool, a pink bunny with these evil red eyes. AND THE TRIFORCE! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! THE POWER! *writhes on the ground*

My Avatar is of Godzilla, as he appeared in the movie "Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monster All Out AttacK"....it sounds cooler in japanese.


Anyway. the GMK Godzilla works with my screen-name "Majin Gojira", which roughly translates to "Demon Godzilla", which is exactly what the GMK Godzilla is, a demon created by all of the remnant strife, anger, pain, etc. from everyone who died in the pacific theater of WWII. Fun!

Besides, He just looks cool!

Mine is currently a shot of a bunch of Shadow vessels as they flew over Centari Prime.

I've have a few others. The one I had the longest looked like this but smaller.


I never quite got it to work how I'd like as an avatar. Usually it was too small but by linking directly to the image at my webspace I made it way too huge (and now we can't do that any more ).

These are some of the others I've tried on a temporary basis.



The other one that was up for awhile was of Frazzetta's Death Dealer.

Nice, I used that same Avatar at SB.com several months back.


As for my Avatar, its a F-14 Tomcat interceptor. I typically use military hardware for my avatars and I rotate through AH-64s, A-10s, F-15s, and F-14s. I am still looking for some good bomber pics to convert to Avatar size.

Mine is the symbol of the honorable clan snow raven, children of kerenskey.

I've had many avatars, including probably the most interesting avatar ever.

My first avatar is the symbol of House Steiner from BattleTech, with the word "SUCKS" below it, because House Steiner Sucks Ass

Next was probably the funest avatar I ever had...it was a cute nacked little 20-something year old brunette French whore with her parts edited out. That lasted about 2 hours

Next came my MAD-5L Marauder MK. II from the new "Project: PHOENIX" TRO from the Classic BattleTech site. It's a 75 ton fighting machine with four lasers and a PPC.

My current Avatar is a Goliath Mk. II, also from the "Project: PHOENIX" TRO. It's only 5 tons heavier but have a Heavy Gauss Rifle, an LRM 10 and two medium lasers.
