The Good Feeling Thread

Sort of a counterpoint to the Venting Thread. Which is why I didn't do it in the HOS. After all, it's upposed to be a good thing, after all.
Anyway, I keep seeing a lot of threads about the negatives in your life. I do so positive stuff, but it seems outweighed by the negative. Thusly, I decided to start this. Post in here the good things you've done in a day, things that either made you feel better, or made someone else feel better. Or random nice things somebody's done for you. Things of that sort.
I have one, but I guess I'll wait and see what happens to this thread before I post it.

Having a great musical performance, jamming with others, and so on. The pursuit of music has always made my day better. I've had days when I felt sick as hell and in a piss-poor mood, and after a half hour of playing, I felt great!

I almost always feel good the last half hour of work when I'm hopped up on caffeine and sugar... knowing I get to go home soon.

One good thing this month. I refinanced my home loan. I went from a 30 year loan at 8.5% to a 15 year loan at 4.75% Almost cut that bad boy in half.
Now when I finish paying off my house I'll have probably paid close to what it will be worth at the time instead of 2-3 times as much.

I just converted part of my bedroom into a nice little writing office.
I've got 250+ pages done on Epiphany and I've got two short stories in the pipeline, one of which should be finished in a few days.
I'm going to Toronto at the end of the month, and on the way back, I'm going to visit this girl in Buffalo I haven't seen since October but I've been unable to get out of my head since I met her.

Outstanding! Smart move going to a 15 if you can afford it!
Well, lets see.
1) On Saturday I learned how to put up sheet rock. Felt like a manly thing to do. More important I got free lunch and some pocket cash in addition to learning something new.
2) I found someone to lease my place to for a year.
3) I also found out I might be able to qualify for a stated loan and refinance my house.

I spent about 5 hours just sitting on my roof, listening to Nine Inch Nails and writing. I LOVE summer.

I try to do something thoughtful and kind for someone as often as possible. I have a copy of a photograph that my grandfather took the day one of the WTC towers surpassed the Empire State Building as the tallest in the world. I took the photograph and had it framed and am waiting to give it to Brian's roommate.
I'm not exactly friends with guy or anything, but he has a poster of the NYC skyline with the towers in it in their living room, and since it belongs to Brian's rm, I thought he might like this photograph as a different way to honour September 11th.

The knowledge that my summer job sonsists mostly of standing around doing nothing, combined with the knowledge that I still get paid for it, makes me very happy, indeed.

I got a picture from MS Office clipart of the pre-9-11 NYC skyline. I liked it.

Life is good.

Alright, I'll post mine.
Last night, when one of my friends was really sad about somebody leaving. She was pretty much in tears on the phone, so I offered to go over there. She was in tears when I picked her up, too. So I basically drove her around, and we got a milkshake and some dinner at about 11:30PM. So after that, we drove around some more, then I took her home because she was tired. As she left the car, she reached back, patted my head, and said, "Thanks, friend." That felt good, especially since she never seemed to think I liked her before.
It gave me a good feeling to do that.
