I don't believe it!
They scored 45 points! And not over the course of half the season!
Surely the Apocalypse is upon us all!

And somehow my Fantasy Football team has an average of 170 despite not having scored above 90 in both weeks.

This is the Minnesota Defense we're talking about, Steve. They sucked ever since Dungy left.
I was listening to the game on netradio, ::shakes head::

Actualy, it was the MN offense (and that damn kicker) who lost this game. I mean, the defense gave the offence 2 chances in OT... and the damn offense went 3 and out both times!
Sorry to burst your bubble, but the MN defense has performed better then expected so far. They are making mistakes because they are young, but they have also showed that when they get mentaly focused, they dominate. The offense just can't seem to keep their mind on the damn game.
If they can settle down, I would predict a 9-7 or 10-6 season. If they don't, well, that's not good.
(that was one damn long game though.

What! You guys actually watched that train-wreck of a football game and wasted three hours of your lives. I think I could have made those 2 point kicks for the Vikings! It would have been close but still good! Bah! What am I talking about! Why don't you guys go watch a real team like the Raiders play!

1 - I didn't watch, I listened. I haven't "watched" anything on tv in a good year now (baring the rare hotel stay due to travel), as I don't have any tv reception where I live and I don't feel like getting cable. Outside of the occasional evening in a hotel due to traveling,
2 - screw the raiders.
You like them good for you. I won't coment on your tastes. However, I am a vikings fan. I have been one for nearly as long as I can remember. Even last year, I was a vikings fan. next year, I'll be a vikings fan still as well.

You think Buffalo winning is bad, look at what they did to the jets, and how badly the jets got crushed
Seriously, when A fluke can crush the Jets appocolypse is Upon us.

At least last season gave Red McCombs the courage to do what he needed to do and fire that fuggin' moron Dennis Green.

That's cool. You have to stick by your team no matter how bad they play. I just couldn't resist taking a shot at the vikings while they were down!

Smart-ass. My memory is a bit foggy, perhaps you could enlighten me ... how many times have your Jags taken conference championship four times in a row?

None. As for the Bills, they got four straight AFC championships.... and lost four straight Super Bowls.
Including
two to the Dallas Cowboys... now that's just sad. (Sorry, my dad raised me to be a Redskins fan, which means I hate the Cowboys).
And, I seem to remember a second-year expansion team beating the Bills in a Wild-Card playoff game on the Bills' home turf. Which team was that again?

Ouch. I wasn't paying much attention to the netradio stream (my brother was, OTOH), but ouch.

Man, just a few years ago those kind of seasons would have seemed unthinkable.

Way too long.
Anyways...

GO BUCS!
Their defense crushed the Ravens

The lame-assed Cardinals managed to beat the Seahawks, mostly I think, because of those totally repulsive uniforms the Seahawks are wearing this year. WTF
I don't see how the NFL allowed them to go with those uniforms.
The new Redskins uniform isn't much better. Insignia wise, at least they got the Indian off of the helmet but they are still called the Redskins! The Washington Bullets changed their name because it wasn't PC but the Redskins keep a downright racist name.
The one thing I find odd with the new Redskins' uniform is that it resembles Florida State's uniforms. I thought Spurrier didn't get along with Bobby Bowden? Do you suppose this is a way to thumb his nose at FSU & Bowden?

I'm amazed that the Steelers are 0-2 so far, cinsidering that last year, they almost made the Super Bowl. Now, I'd relly be supreised if the Detroit Lions can win one game tihs season. I think they were 0-11 last season.
