Just FYI, I moved the board onto my home LAN. The server crapped out again.

I don't even know how long it was down, since I just got back in a half-hour ago. I didn't see the usual flood of E-mails telling me the board is down, so I figure it couldn't have been that long. But I couldn't get ahold of Lord MJ, so I had to go to plan B.

Thank god. I was afraid I was going to get blamed for something.

Its been down for about 15 minutes. Nicely done, Admiral.

Yikes. The only thing I hate about this is that it doesn't mark read posts.

I believe that's a cookie-related issue.

Try deleting all of your cookies and restarting your browser (note that restarting your browser or even your computer will not delete your cookies; that is a specific option in your web browser).

Am I the only one who has not been able to access the board until now?

For a couple of hours it didn't do anything. I thought it was my connection because I could get anything, but then other sites would load again. Then after those couple of hours, it gave me "the board has been taken down for maintanence". Then, just a few minutes ago, it said "the board has been moved to a new server" and a link to the homelinux address.

I revised the DNS tables to point to the new location, but it appears that some of you are using cached DNS lookups, so you kept getting sent to the old address. That's why I had to edit the old server's maintenance message to point to an alternate URL for the new location.

That's what you get from independent contractors.
