Best current tank?
Assume you're in charge of acquiring a main battle tank for some unspecified country, and that the following are all available in the same quantity and at the same cost. The only deciding factor is quality.
* American M1A2 Abrams
* British Challenger 2
* German Leopard 2
* French LeClerc Mk 2
* Russian T-90
* Something else I overlooked
Which do you choose?

The Leo-2 is a better singular tank while the M1A2 is a better tank in large formations. In other words the Leo-2 works for the German needs perfectly as does the M1A2 for the United States.

Leopard 2A6 is a beter tank than the Strv 122. Just for the longer main gun with the new ammunitionSir Sirius wrote:Leo 2, more specifically the Swedish variant Stridsvagn 122.

Okay this makes three times this question has been asked, and I'm pretty sure the first time was Prawn as well.
The Type 90 is a massively over priced piece of junk, the only decent feature is the gun which is a licensed produced version of the same Rheinmetall used by early Leo2's.I like the Type-90 tank, but I have no legitimate reasons for that and I'm sure an Abrams tank would kill it.

Aware in the irony, I shall insist:
M1A2 uber alles
Which is not to say that the Leo2 is a bad tank....it is an excellent tank.... but the M1A2 is the best.

Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!
If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!
Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!
