I heard from a friend(who is known for talking out of his ass sometimes) that Americans are getting a check form the government in the mail later in the summer, as most people did in 2001. They were distributed according to the last 4 digits of you Social Security number..

1. Is this true? I heard about the last one months in advance. How could there be another one coming and I didn;t hear about it?

2. Is the average amount per person going to be the same?

And if you're in th esame boat and you haven't heard about it, you can say so. Enough people saying they haven't is as agood as a yes or no answer.

Havent heard anything. An interesting note though, the last tax return was actually taxed as income  .

I haven't heard anything about this, but I did recently receive checks from the state and federal governments amounting to the princely sum of twelve dollars and five cents. I don't think it has anything to do with what you're talking about, though.
