God fucking damn, that's gross. And it hits home too... in the park I walk my dog at, a great many people cut their dogs off leash (including me, when I can, you can't play ball when your dog is attached to you) and there are alot of people that treat dogwalkers like they are scum (by and large the Little League people who think they own the fucking park). I'm constantly afraid some asshole is going to try to poison the dog dishes that are set out in the summer or do something like in the article, because the park really does get some real fuckers.

Just to play the devil's advocate on this one, if you follow the law you have nothing to fear.



That said, I do think this is pretty bad.

i would be pretty pissed off(putting it mildly) if someone did that to me or my dog.

I'm definately in favor of leash laws and their enforcement but in this case even with the dog on a leash it isn't garanteed that a person will be able to keep them from eating stuff they find while the dogs are being walked.

My dog has always been great at the quick lunge, chomp and swallow. I don't know how many times I've had to pry his jaws apart to get various dead animals out of there before he swallows them (he usually end up puking them up when he's home and inside ). Even if I manage to keep him from getting something the first time he will remember that it's there and keep looking for it for days to come stupid, smartassed dog .

Some people might be walking their dogs on those long retractable leads which makes it even easier for the dogs to find something and eat it while still being within the leash law.

A few years ago we had some problems in town with some asshole who was poisoning dogs by throwing meat soaked in antifreeze into fenced in yards. Some people just get off on being mean bastards. If they only wanted to prove a point they could have laced the stuff with laxatives instead they chose something with the intentions that it be fatale.

Bloody outrageous, I usually walk my dog on an extender lead, but all the same, this is sickening.

Damn inhuman scum.

Probably the same bastard who ran over my cat. Probably just drives around killing peoples pets. Funny thing though. He was a weird cat. Siamese coloration, Siamese blue eyes, bud stockier. Weighed 14-16 pounds. Poor thing. Was across the street hunting at night and having had an eye infection as a kitten was very sensitive to light and the sun was rising on our side of the road, well anyway a car hit him about 3 feet from our side of the road. Funny Thing though, Not a scratch on him, but seeing as a 5 ounce sparrow caused 40 dollars in dammage to my moms car. Id say that's a good 500-600$ bill wouldn't you?
