Anyone else's sleep cycle screwed up because of the summer?
It's been so hot and dry during the day, I sleep through the day and I'm wide awake at 4 in the morning. Dammit.

While it's not summer here, for the last 2 weeks I've been on school holiday, today, for the first time in 2 weeks, I get up before noon.

Same thing here, minus the "sleep through the day" part. I've grown attached to coffee thanks to my lack of sleep. Even now, I am making typosa fdie to d my aslkeep.Trytostaydead wrote:It's been so hot and dry during the day, I sleep through the day and I'm wide awake at 4 in the morning. Dammit.

You guys should head over here for the summer, because we have something like four to six hours of semidarkness at best (doesn't get truly dark at all) and in the really north part of the country the sun doesn't set at all. Now that, gentlemen, will screw up your sleep cycle like nothing else unless you're used to it...

Why is it so goddamned hard to get little assholes like you to admit it when you fuck up? Is it pride? What gives you the right to have any pride?

My sleep cycle's screwed up because I've been sick and falling asleep watching TV.

Get to sleep at 12-2am, wake up at 7am, go to school, go back to sleep at about 11:40-12:30pm, wake up again at about 7pm.
And yes, I do require about 18-20 hours of sleep per day, especially when I am having "issues" with my emotional stability/state. In otherwords, right now. If I am not having issues then I can get away with 4 hours of sleep per night for 2 weeks, and need 6-8 hours to function properly the rest of the time.

Nah...my cat is an excellent alarm clock and I keep my place at comfortable 65 degrees F.

Anything over 25 degrees C and I cannot get sleep until I collapse from exhaustion.
In my talons, I shape clay, crafting life forms as I please. If I wish, I can smash it all. Around me is a burgeoning empire of steel. From my throne room, lines of power careen into the skies of Earth. My whims will become lightning bolts that raze the mounds of humanity. Out of chaos, they will run and whimper, praying for me to end their tedious anarchy. I am drunk with this vision. God: the title suits me well.

I use 24 Hour Military Time. IMO it's far superior to 12hour AM-PM time.Demiurge wrote:13:00? 05:00?Einhander Sn0m4n wrote:It's practically random most of the time. I got up at 9 AM today, but that has no relation to yesterday's wakeup time (1130!) or tomorrow (anywhere from 1300 in the afternoon to 0500, who fucking knows?) LOL

EDIT: And it really helps that my boyfriend uses 24hour time as a nurse, and that Windows has it as a setting on its clock.

I woke up around 7am today, but went in and out of sleep until about 9am. I was really tired, from all the heat lately and moving and such. Today is gonna be another hot one, at least the building Im in today has A/C.
Overall the summer does not screw up my sleep habits, not having a steady job does that. Ive been good since March, I usually wake up early for temp work, or just to get errands done. Back in Feb I was up late all night watching infomercials. Ugh...

My sleep cycle only gets fucked up if I've got no schedule to follow. Any other time, I sleep like a baby, summer or not.

My sleep cycle is fine. It's perfectly normal to sleep from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

I've got a weird sleeping pattern anyway although it is worse in the summer. I hate the heat.

I've started napping more in the afternoons and staying up later at night. Probably because I don't have school and I'm only working part time these days.
