just heard it on the news. Looks like the front page of CNN is running the news as well, now. It seems like the guy has always been around, he's been around so long. It'll be different without him...

What are you, the thread police? Sorry. Didn't read the news and political forum, and I didn't see it posted anywhere here.

That's hard to accept. He was a century old, but it's still hard to believe that he's really dead.

He was one of the great legends in his time
The only one I think is still around from his era of comedy is Milton Bearle.........

Elsewhere: George Burns and Willie Dixon are waiting, it's been a long time since some great entertainer passed on right on the Century Mark. The stage is set, it looks exactly like something off of Vaudeville. Wait it IS something off of Vaudeville. Bergan, Gracie, Steve Allen, Red Buttons, and all of the others are there waiting for him.
So long big nosed prince you friends are there for you.

Well, it's sad to see anyone die, but I never found him funny at all. Except for some of his Road to... movies, those were all right.

Sad to hear, I haven't seen much of his stuff, but he seems cool.

Didn't Milton Berle die a while back?
They seem to be going fast now. First, Katherine Hepburn, and now him.

I liked his feud with Bing Crosby. That was good stuff.
