Gandalf the White and Eowyn do look a lot alike though. At the beggining I thought that has her on horse running through the forest. But I thought that the end was just another redshirt about to get creamed by a Nazgul. Little did I know it was Ian McKellen about to deliver the OWNAGE!

Yes, but not before Gandalf has it out with him - he had to run back inside because Denethor flipped his lid. I forget exactly what happened.

Oddly enough I read that chapter today. The Gates are smashed by Grond and the Witch-King rides through unopposed. Gandalf faces off with him and is the only one that bars his way into the city. A cock crows and the clouds break to let through the dawn, the Rohirrim charge. The Witch-King leaves Minas Tirith and goes back to his winged steed for his meeting with Eowyn. Pippin tells Gandalf that Denethor is going to burn himself and Faramir, preventing Gandalf from taking to the field and confronting the Witch-King again.

Grond looks weak.
