Definitely an unusual style. He had a tendency to throw a lot of curveballs. A true auteur. I think I liked Full Metal Jacket out of all his stuff the best.

He gave us Dr. Strangelove. Movie with the Best Ending Ever.

His best work was Dr Strangelove, followed by A Clockwork Orange, then Full Metal Jacket.

Too bad his last movie was awful.

AI was good untill the ending, and I blame the ending on Spielberg.

The ending would be perfect WO all that crap in the last 20m or so.

Haven't seen Eyes Wide Shut yet, but I haven't seen a movie of his I didn't like.

He was one of the few good directors...
Dr. Strangelove, SHining, Full Metal Jacket...

And as a funny side note, Eyes Wide Shut had a different, shorter, ending in the American version, because some PCidiots had problems with the ending...

I actually didn't consider AI, forgot- was more thinking Eyes Wide Shut.
