How many females actually post here? Not that I would mind being the only female.
Get your fill of sci-fi, science, and mockery of stupid ideas

More importantly, what females wouldn't mind me hitting on them?Kelly Antilles wrote:How many females actually post here? Not that I would mind being the only female.
Active female posters? On a sci-fi board? Surely you jest . . . especially with folks like RayCav about. But anyways. Including you, there are two active female posters, I think. Maybe even one if the newest one stops posting. And two if Lusankya ever comes back.Kelly Antilles wrote:How many females actually post here? Not that I would mind being the only female.

It's not as rare as you might think. Back in the day there were a fair number of women both on the Trek echos on Fidonet and on the B5 newsgroups.GrandMasterTerwynn wrote:Active female posters? On a sci-fi board?
Her team, Adelaide Crows, were looking like red-hot favourites to qualify for the AFL Grand Final, unfortunately they lost on the weekend, so I guess she is out drowning her misery...THe Yosemite Bear wrote:What ever happened to Lysanka? anyways.
I have heard that most women do not care to hang around so much testosterone, but for someone who has pretty much only been around such all her life, I haven't a problem with it. I know how to handle over-enthusiastic males.Enlightenment wrote:It's not as rare as you might think. I dunno what's different about webboards for them to be an almost entirely male domain. Having the testosterone poisoned nuts (not just the one you mentioned) around probably doesn't help the gender balance much, however...
A baseball bat is usually a reasonable option.Kelly Antilles wrote:I have heard that most women do not care to hang around so much testosterone, but for someone who has pretty much only been around such all her life, I haven't a problem with it. I know how to handle over-enthusiastic males.
Better there than lower and more towards the centerlineA nice swift kick to the ego is good too
Yes Mike how much does your wife know of your dirty old man habits (Need I refer to the Hairy or Shaved or Masterbation threads? )Hey, there's a thought. Mike, does your wife ever read your board? And if so, what does she think of the near hero-worship you get in these-here parts?
For many males, such a blow has a fair chance of causing brain damage. . .Mr Bean wrote:Better there than lower and more towards the centerlineA nice swift kick to the ego is good too
I think that was his point since some people's egos seem to be centered in that area.Mr Bean wrote:Better there than lower and more towards the centerlineA nice swift kick to the ego is good too
If we take the vocal ones, then the gender ratio starts looking like a computer engineering course. . .Darth Eris wrote:There's probably more females posting on the board than you think. You're just assuming that they're all guys.
Does it involve a bed at all?Kelly Antilles wrote: I have heard that most women do not care to hang around so much testosterone, but for someone who has pretty much only been around such all her life, I haven't a problem with it. I know how to handle over-enthusiastic males.
