It's not as rare as you might think. Back in the day there were a fair number of women both on the Trek echos on Fidonet and on the B5 newsgroups.

I dunno what's different about webboards for them to be an almost entirely male domain. Having the testosterone poisoned nuts (not just the one you mentioned) around probably doesn't help the gender balance much, however...

I have heard that most women do not care to hang around so much testosterone, but for someone who has pretty much only been around such all her life, I haven't a problem with it. I know how to handle over-enthusiastic males.

I think that was his point since some people's egos seem to be centered in that area.

There's probably more females posting on the board than you think. You're just assuming that they're all guys.
