Who is your favorite poster?

Post by Needa »

Hello guys, Needa is back. I just hope someone out there still recognize me, but then I won't be mad if it's not the case :P You might remember me as the guy who had trouble with his grammar, but since the last time I post, which is a long long time ago, I've moved to another school which got a better English class so hopefully I am going to continue to improve.

I've been doing much reading today (trying to catch up, you know). It seems there is a donkey fucker called Armi-something who likes to insult people and criticise the grammar of his opponents. Although opponents should not be the term cause he didn't want to discuss logically. Anyway. I've also found that some people are particulary mad at each other and there is some bitching going on.

So I thought, may I ask you who is your favorite poster? I don't know if it has been done recently, but I think he should be a good idea in the context. Sorry if it's redundant, Mods.

Apart from mighty master Lord Wong, my favorites are:

1- Master of Ossus. Since I didn't have much time to read in the previous weeks, I read only from time to time the SW vs ST board. And most of the time I only picked the topics with MoO and Darkstar. God it was good to see him debating agaisnt that idiot. Thanks MoO! Sometime I laughed so hard when you deconstructed his claims that it hurted me!

2- David. He was very kind to help me when I started posting. Sadly, I did not see much post from him today..

3- The Yosemite Bear. Sure he is not a big poster. But he's always making intelligent post which I really enjoy. Plus he likes SMAC, IIRC. Everyone who likes it is an intelligent people, no? :D

So what about you?
Before you, pitiful trolls, invade this forum take note that:
Mr. Bean will not fear using his irony agaisnt you.
Sir Nitram will burn your idiotic arguments.
Grand Admiral Thrawn will generously dismember your illogical thoughts.
Master of Ossus will bash your stupidity.

And if you are still alive, DARTH WONG WILL CRUSH WHAT'S LEFT. You have been warned.

It used to be Dalton, but he doesn't have that damn monkey avatar anymore. WHEN he brings it back, then he'll be my favorite again. Wong and Mr. Bean would be tied due to thier avatars just kicking unholy ass.

Fist off, the disclaimer; If your name isn't mentioned please don't be offended, I am only posting those who I have crossed paths with.

Sea Skimmer: Don't agree with everything he says, but I do belive that he truely knows his hardware, and I respect that.

Nick: Seeing him in action is like watching a chess master, he carefully moves all of his pieces in position and then has his oponents in Check Mate!

Lusankya: You just gotta love a fellow Engineering student

weemando: I believe on the most that we think on the same wavelength.

And a special note goes to....

Mark S and Stravo for the many hours of entertainment that their fanfics have given me, thanks guys!

Dude, you have NO idea just how right you are. I've known Nick for over a year. He is quite methodical and highly intelligent. Plus, hopefully I will get to meet him in person in a year. Let's just pray that one of us does not blow up when we get in the same room. It has been said that we are twins. ;)

Hm, let me think. I find Mr. Bean highly amusing. Dalton and Lord Wong highly intelligent. Master of Ossus is still trying to find something to disagree with me about, so we are like-minded. weemadando comes up with really interesting ideas. Darth Yoshi, that's just a kick-ass name for an intelligent person. ;)

Hm, at the moment, I can't think of any others.

Mike is without argument the best poster here. He's the kind of guy I would have loved to have for a peer off the board.

But, hell, all of you make this place interesting.
Note: I'm semi-retired from the board, so if you need something, please be patient.

Where to begin, where to begin. . .

I generally only frequent the Off-topic and science/logic/morality forums, but here's a few off the top of my head

Eleas - masterful turn of phrase

C.S. Strowbridge - turns a few good phrases of his own

Mr Bean - highly entertaining

Igot - the language barrier is annoying, but well worth the effort to overcome (I admire your perseverance!)

And many, many, more - there's a reason I keep coming back :) (Well, that and the opportunity to hone my chess game  )

No particular order of preference:

Mr. Bean: You gotta love the wit and the verbiage, I mean I don;t know if I will EVER catch up to his CURRENT post count, not only that but he's been a staunch fan since the beginning of my little tale and I appreciate his input.

Master of Ossus: Here's a guy who has everything to say about anything and it all makes blessed sense. I don't think I have ever run across an unintelligent post from the Master, and I remember how he suffered the trials and tribulations of the evil blight that was Darkstar. He desreves some sort of medal or commendation for chraging into the breach again and again against the Wall of ignorance. Added to that he gave some VERY good advice when my fanfic took its first hesitant steps in this forum.

Lord Wong: I LOVE to read his posts because they positively drip with wit and intelligence. I have never met someone who can disect an argument as he does and totally blows it away. I NEVER want to be on the receving end of that Imperial Smackdown t.m. I should also point out that we share a common interest in anal and porn....

MK Sheppard: A little too right for me, but when he posts those interesting news articles they are usually food for thought and debate...the very nectar of the gods for this place. It really makes you think when you read some of these articles that the world simply refuses to exist in a state of light or darkness...it's a whole lotta of gray and that challenges some of the more polarized folks here.

Mark S: I feel like I'm not fighting the good fight alone when trying to entertain you folks. He's one talented writer and I've learned quite a bit reading his stuff.

Lord Poe: Does not post often but when he does there is substance there and I just ADORED the way he slapped that turd Darkstar around day after day, thread after thread. Simply splendid.

Dalton: Gotta love a guy that thought enough about my work to post it on his archives and always has a word of encouragement, thanks Dalton.

Can't remember anyone else right now but I'm sure there's a lot more. It really is a pleasure to share this board with some truly intelligent and funny people, though! :D

It's good to know that someone appreciated that whole thing. That required so much time and effort for so little benefit. Even my fiancee thought I was losing it when she read some of those things. She laughed her head off when I showed her some of those threads, and kept trying to convince me not to keep after DarkStar. Oh well.

My favorite posters are (in no particular order):

Stravo, Dalton, Wong (of course), Patrick Ogaard, and recently Evil_Jerk has been saying some good things.

The ones I love to hate are:

DarkStar, Arminius, User099, and John Clark. The ones that are getting there are seanrobertson and Robert Walper.
