Isn't Michigan awesome? I think it is. Often, late at night, I will awake from my slumber and just stare into the endless fields (or lack thereof) of greatness in which I reside. I would suggest visiting often, and for extended periods of time. Failure to do so will be bad for your health, I can guarentee it.

Is it just me, or do posts keep vanishing from this thread?

The UP is way cool--I hiked up a mountain when I was there last summer. Mucho forests and shit--not a lot of people. The way I like it. But I like Petosky better (not in the UP but pretty damn close). More charming, with more water. And cuter shops.

Dinked around a little in the villages relatively nearby my grandparents compound (yes, it can technically be called that), picked up a new BB pistol that I shot a bit, played a bit of GBA, read a couple of books, got a few hundred pages into Tai-Pan, went for a dip in Lake Superior, shot off some fireworks at a public campground with my cousins, played cardgames 'til 1 AM every night...

Basically, everything but use the computer.

How are the mosquitos and flys this year?

You people travel way to much. I don't. I would disrespect my home town.
