Duck vs Rabbit

Post by RogueIce »

Well, thanks to Cartoon Network, I decided it was time to post this, the eternal battle. It's older than even Star Wars vs Star Trek.

Daffy Duck vs Bugs Bunny

My personal vote: Bugs.

However, Daffy and Bugs teaming up together can be a potent force. Alas, that is not the case here.

Bugs wins. And Daffy tastes real good next to the mashed potatoes.

Daffy is the Shizznit. Bugs is going to win even though he shouldn't.

Bugs always wins, especially against Daffy. This is like "Nameless thug versus James Bond."

At least he puts some effort into foiling his antagonist. The ones that really bother me are Tweety Bird and the Roadrunner, who just sit around waiting for Granny/serious perversions of the laws of physics to save their asses.

I can see the Tweety, but all Roadrunner is doing is running around. He is totally oblivious to Coyote.

Daffy...while Bugs has many classic momnets.

Daffy has Duck Dodgers in the 24th and half century...which is my personal fave of the Merrie Melodies.

Fuckin' classic. :D

"Elmer Season"

Is Daffy the only one who went up against Marvin Martian, or did Bugs? I seem to remember Bugs going up against him, with far more success than Daffy generally enjoyed (though I think he got him in the end, but only after getting zapped, wheres Bugs, IIRC, was on top of him the whole time).

Yes BB screwed up Marvin`s plan to destroy Earth....cause it was blocking his view of Venus. :D

*A Bolo backs up over Demiurge*

Die scum! The Road Runner and Coyote are the best cartoon characters ever, followed by Marvin the Martian and Daffy as Duck Dodgers.

Bleh, Roadrunner/Coyote are just too tedious. Just one botched attempt after another to use some crazy rocket gizmo or boulder to capture/crush the Roadrunner over and over. At least Bugs and Daffy put a little variety (not to much, change is a scary thing) into their performances.

And Duck Dodgers in the 24th and a half Century is fucking brilliant. Absolutely, without a doubt, the best Looney Toons bit ever. Marvin hangs a close second.

And for the record, Speedy Gonzales is an attention grubbing whore.

And those gadgets kick ass. The ACME portable hole has to be the greatest invention besides the mail ordering system.

All of it boring.

Unfortunately they seem to have decided to make a series based off it that one great cartoon forty years later. Though if they have decent writers it might not ruin the concept, theres so much more sci fi to make fun of.

It is inevitable that Bugs Bunny wins (even though I am more of a fan of Daffy).
