Rosanne's redition of the Star Spangled Banner. She ought to have been tried for treason for that.
Anything by Britney Spears, N-Stink or Justin timberlake, mandy moore or those other pop pretenders.

				Some of mine:
1) Afternoon Delight
2) Take the Money and Run
3) MacArthur Park
4) Imagine (pinko claptrap, originally a Yoko Ono poem)
5) Enter Sandman
6) Loving You
7) Talk Dirty to Me
8] Ice Ice Baby
9) She Bop
10) Respect (the original Otis Redding was good, the Aretha Franklin version is lame)

All I know is that the only line in the entire song is, "I'm getting closer to my home." [shudders]

Any crappy modern Christian music (read: anything written since the 1950s, discounting gospel) should be included as a whole somewhere on the list.

Anything which can be classified as dance, rap, or hip-hop. One could easily fill up a "top 50 worst song" list with any one of those categories alone.

I would have to say that the theme song to "Die Another Day," (which, interestingly enough, has the same title as the film), was one of the worst songs of all time.

It might have been a decent song had it been a little more minimalist, rather than piling a bunch of lame electronica crap and overproduction on it.

There's "Complicated." If for no other reason, Lavigne should be shot for that song alone. No person should be subject to three months of that song. That and, "I'm Gonna Soak Up the Sun" by Sheryl Crow. Two months, on that one.

What about "Barbarism Returns" by Graveland?
It features the clumsiest drumming ever, plus the most unintelligible vocals I've yet heard.

Well there is that 30 minute dance track that I used to use to drive my dormmies nuts in college when they started a Metalicca vs. Rap vs. Darth Brooks vs. Christian Rock Radio war. (Inna Gadda devita honey, don't you know that I love you....)
I really hate them drunken doors solo's forever, I used to edit my doors recordings for a tighter time, by removing like 3-10 minutes of Robbie Krieger Guitar.
Pink Floyd when the young teen thinks he has discovered something "New" and insists on playing it for 3 weeks straight!!!! (Usually just one or two songs off either Darkside, or The Wall)
My sister's Necronomicon of boy/girl bands..... (Tell you what I want what I really, really want, sis I want to destroy your CD player)

I am so sorry (Pats verilon on the back) its ok. The first step to recovery is to admit that you have a problem which you have already done. The next step is to listen to better music.
