Me:
I just finished spewing wasteful hydrocarbons into the atmosphere by chopping grass to a precision height.
Or in other words: Mowing the Lawn
RedImperator:
I did that the other day. today I was poisoning the groundwater
by spraying herbicide on harmless plants growing up in the cracks
of my driveway, a symbol of capitalist waste and decadance on
multiple levels
Or In other Words: Applying Weed-killer

I released various hydrocarbons and aromatic gases into the air from the posterior area of my body.
In other words I farted.

Yes, I too feel the need to implement de-life-ification. Ugh, I'm bad at this.

Here's a somewhat modified joke from P.J. that's somewhat relevant:
A bunch of communists walk into a bar. They start sipping their drinks, minding their own business.
"We don't see many communists in here," says the bartender.
"And with this atmosphere of hedonistic capitalism needlessly wasting the people's agricultural resources" they said, "you won't be seeing anymore."

Just out of curiosity, why don't they make electric lawn mowers? Can they not get enough power out of an electric motor to cut grass?

Electric lawnmowers were all the rage some years ago (Mid to late 80's) when environuts were at their alleged peak...they were quiet, true, but never quite caught on, I think it had something to do with the fact that you had to have a cord, and said cord carried 120 volts of electricity, and it was poering something with a spinning sharp thing, and said shapr thing was usually very close to the aforementioned cord....did I mention the thing about 120 volts? Yeah, would maybe suck if you hit that thing with the sharp thing. but would only suck for a second.
Three days later when you come to, it wouldn't suck quite as bad.

We could get enough power out of electric motors to run a battleship, in 1915. Its the cord that makes electric mowers suck utter shit as noted above.

I feel the intense urge to retract the skin overlapping my optical organs so as to hydrate them through the release of fluids that naturally occur in said area for the purose of relieving uncomfortable parchment after a short period of time.
Or: I need to blink.

I personally enjoy propelling small metallic aerodynamically shaped objects by an expansion of hot gasses out of the end of a metallic tube into the torsos of poor helpless game animalia.
In other words, I like to hunt.

Yes, and no. Your average gasoline powered lawnmower is about 3-5 horsepower, which translates to 2300-3800 watts. Most residential homes are wired for 20-30 amps per circuit before the fuse blows which on a 120 volt line works out to 2400-3600 watts. Run a lawnmower on that and there's a good chance you'll blow a fuse, which is why most electric mowers run at about 12-15 amps, or about 1400-1800 watts. This is less power than your typical gas powered mower. If they designed mowers for 240V lines like your stove or dryer, then they could equal the power of gas mowers.

So I guess batteries would be out of the question, then.

I have a battery-powered lawnmower. And it's quiet too. Nyah!
