*Smacks previous two posters with a blunt implement*
Fools, hath thou not tasted the fine delicacy that is the Jaffa Cake?
I say it's a pseudo cake-biscuit hybrid made by mad scientists to prove they really could do whatever they wanted with their budget and brains.

It's not OUR fault we live in places that it's unheard of.

Biscuit!
We keep them in a biscuit tin, therefore the
must be biscuits!

Am I the only one who's thinking of a tasty treat for kids on Chulak?

I seem to recall some business about some King or other who was trying to bake a cake and baked it too long and thus invented the biscuit. Really I do. And that the word biscuit is somehow derived from something meaning cooked twice? Cooked twice so as to make it crisp and hard? Therefore I'd say that a Jaffa Cake, which is not by any means hard and crispy throughout its structure, fails the definition of a bisuit and is a legitimate cake. Why would a king be making cakes?
Zac Naleon - the eyes in your banner look just like the special tangy orangey bit, is that especially for this thread?

Buscuits. They are called Jaffa CAKES to fool foreginers. Just look at black pudding and spoted dick. The Brits are renowned for misleading names with food.

Biscuits. Most definately. Following the same -it goes in the biscuit barrel- logic as before. They are cakish, but I consider them to be primarily biscuit fodder.
Hmmm, this gives me an idea...

We really need to straight you guys out. This 'biscuit/chips' shit has got to go.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it's a cake, on the basis that I have never seen a British 'biscuit' that was, in fact, a real biscuit. Most of them are either crackers or cookies, but since those are not options, I'm going to say it's a cake. Judging by the rest of Britian's food, it's either really bad, or used to stimulate cardiac arrest.
