I was under the impression that you didn't need any official sanctioning to be a reverend. Unless the World christian church is something special.

A relative of mine(who was working as a chef at the time) became a minister by mail, I believe, as a joke. I think I'll do the same thing.

Dang...I'm going to have to settle for being the second reverend on the boards. Though I will be the first pastor .

Currently only the church secretary calls me "Reverend," and that's a joke because I've led two sermons (one of our pastors died of liver cancer, and I got drafted to cover for him).

I don't even really know what a reverend is, I thought it was something like a Priest?

Not far from it, HDS. A reverend fills the same role as a priest, but without the royal connotations or the "only hotline to God" aura.

As an aside, I'm ordained by both the Universalist church and Spiritual Humanism - both on a personal lark.

Just remember, you don't get tax exemptions unless you can prove you are actively ministering to a congregation.
