LATEST OUTAGE (server moved again)

The board is now running on my home server again, after another problem on MJ's server. Hopefully, we won't have another monster power failure, but if we do, then you'll know why the board is down
Oh well, my server is faster anyway

Mike, I noticed that when you moved servers, I no longer received email notifications that a post of mine was replied to. Now that its back on your hme server, I'm receiving them again!

OK, you got me confused here. Where is this server you speak of? Is it physically in your home? If so, what is it, a normal home PC, or some suped up Deep Blue machine? And who the hell is MJ? Does he post here? And why the fuck are there expiration dates on sour cream?

Yes.

1GHz Celeron with 512MB of RAM and an 80GB Seagate Barracuda HD, running Linux.

Lord MJ. He posts here occasionally, and he runs ENetExperience, so he had a server that he lets me use. His server is in a datacentre and has access to more reliable AC power than I have, with better backups (it also has superior bandwidth). However, he's been having recurrent problems with certain system processes locking up and crashing, and this time the httpd daemon was so badly hosed that it wouldn't start up again, so I moved it back to my home server now that the state of electrical power crisis has been declared over in Ontario.
And why the fuck are there expiration dates on sour cream?
Let some of it sit around for a few months and then try eating it, and you'll find out.
