New Mouse

Hee-hee...I just got a new mouse. My old one was a standard mouse, and the sensors that the ball touches broke, so I decided to buy an optical mouse. I don't know the exact model, but I've gone from a two-button to a four-button plus scroll wheel model. Only problem is I have the side buttons set up as Alt+<- and Alt+->, so if I bump them while online, my page changes. Only happened twice so far, but it was irritating.

Thats because they are set up as the back and forward buttons. I rather like the feature. On my MX500 I can use the side buttons to browse the internet.

I do too, I'm just not used to them yet (I bumped the Back one when scrolling). My problem is that my fingertips are slightly callused from being a drummer, so I can't feel the buttons as well as I should. I like the feature, the buttons are just more sensitive than I expected.

I usually use them as Page Up and Page Down in a lot of programs.

Get the driver and change the assignments. I have an MS Intellimouse with the small thumb button set to Run and the large as Double-Click (which is useless...).

Op mouse, scroll wheel, gooooood!
Had mine for a while, the button under the scroll wheel is starting to go, that's why the last one broke. If you use it a lot, it starts to go.

I have the driver installed. I've been playing around with different configs for it, but I kinda like the forward/back setup for some reason.
